Raymond van Barneveld takes on Stephen Bunting in Players Championship 5 final

Raymond van Barneveld is one win away from a first PDC title since 2021. With a 7-6 victory over Gary Anderson, 'Barney' managed to qualify for the final of Players Championship 5.

The Dutchman was more incisive on the doubles at the important moments. A key moment was the tenth leg, in which Anderson missed five chances to make it 6-4. Van Barneveld then hit the double 6 to level the score. A 13-darter then brought Van Barneveld to a 6-5 lead, but Anderson then broke right back with a 14-darter. Van Barneveld was the first to get a matchdart in the last leg, but missed his chance on the bullseye. After Anderson himself missed two matchdarts, 'Barney' struck after all with double 8.
In the final of Players Championship 5, Stephen Bunting will be the Dutchman's opponent. Bunting managed to win 7-5 over Ross Smith in the other semifinal.

- I loved Jan and loved his walk on music "Explode" by Jordan & Baker. I think if he stuck around the BDO he definitely would have been World Champion, should have won in 2014, he never really showed any of his talent in the PDC. I remembered he worked in a bank or in finance and maybe that was his priority, he was also a fan and interested in magic. Definitely should have achieved much more in darts than he did. - This is exactly what I mean,littler survives the 1st round,I think you'll find a lot of other players did. Can you just report on the real sport,and not just 1 person. I like Luke,but this is getting boring now,as Kevin painter once said to Taylor!! The sport is about every player,not 1 who everyone seems to have put the sport on the map.,which he hasn't,he's just got in when the money is massive.
