Josh Rock notched a nine-darter at the 28th Players Championship tournament of 2024 on Wednesday. 'Rocky' threw a perfect leg in his match against George Killington.
After previous wins over Scott Williams (6-5), Josh Payne (6-3) and Andrew Gilding (6-3), Rock faced Killington in the last sixteen. After six legs, the score was 4-2 in favour of the Northern Irishman.
In the sixth leg, he had closed the leg with a 104 finish. Rock then began the seventh leg with two 180 scores, then fired a 141 finish in his third turn. 'Rocky' then started the next leg with two 180 scores, but a second nine darter in a row remained out of reach. Rock did however win the match 6-2 thanks to an average of 110.89.
