Schedule and preview Friday evening session 2022 Grand Slam of Darts featuring Van Barneveld-Price and Smith-Cullen

The Quarter-Finals are set to begin on Friday night at the Grand Slam of Darts with two bumper ties to kick off the first to 16 format in Wolverhampton.

First up sees Michael Smith face Joe Cullen, both of these ties are repeats of group games earlier in the tournament with the former claiming a 5-1 win over Cullen albeit over a shorter format. Both players have said this week that they still haven't reached top form yet but could that come tonight as the stakes increase.

The same can be said for the big tie of the night as Raymond van Barneveld who has been the story of the tournament in many ways attempts to defeat the King of Aldersley once more with 'The Iceman' imperious at this venue in terms of winning titles.

But Van Barneveld in the group proved he is very much beatable albeit as Michael van Gerwen pointed out, can he do it over the longer format. This will be the big test for both players and one that is bound to catch the intrigue and take top billing.
