The fifth round is set at the 2023 UK Open on Saturday afternoon with Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith and Peter Wright all in action on the Main Stage.
Price kicks proceedings off against Jeffrey de Zwaan who will look for a resurgence after recently reclaiming his PDC Tour Card and will join at least one Dutchman in the next round if he does as 'The Dutch Giant' Martijn Kleermaker aims to topple the giant of Dutch darts in Michael van Gerwen.
This after the tie of the round as the World Number One faces the World Number Five. Two of the best power scorers in the game in Michael Smith and Luke Humphries. Peter Wright and Callan Rydz from there conclude the session.
Over on Stage Two, it features defending champion Danny Noppert, Gary Anderson, Dirk van Duijvenbode - Nathan Aspinall and Dimitri van den Bergh with Adrian Lewis, Joe Cullen, Jonny Clayton, Chris Dobey and the tie between Steve Beaton and Rob Cross all set for the remaining two boards in the Multi-Board.

- What a undignified way to bow out of the darts for the greatest darts player ever, absolutely the best. Nobody was as dedicated or committed or even half as good as Phil. He completely dominated darts, not only the greatest darts player ever but also one of the greatest sportsman ever. - I don't have a problem with someone being whoever they want to be, but ultimately there is a Ladies and Mens format for a reason. What is going to stop substandard men claiming that they are transgender and entering the ladies format for an opportunity to increase their profile, prize money, ranking etc etc. We know that the current crop of PDC players will suck up to van Leuven and will not speak out.richieburnettrocks23-10-2024
- The bottom line is Beau will be a triple World Champion soon. She is so many levels better than the rest of the ladies. Lorraine and Aileen have never really raised their game, I really expected the quality of the ladies game to have improved but excluding Beau, it seems to have detiorated.
