The third round heads towards its conclusion on Thursday afternoon with a top tie starting proceedings off which will take the headlines at the PDC
World Darts Championship.
Ross Smith who has been a scoring machine in the past year sealing his maiden major title at the European Championship will face another player with similar billing albeit without the major title honors in
Dirk van Duijvenbode who has been knocking on the door without sealing one yet.
This also could be another game with ramifications for the Premier League with both seen as either in contention or just outside of contention for a spot.
Then it is the turn of
Rob Cross who will look to continue on from his opening win over Scott Williams with Mervyn King next in his sights.
While as dubbed by Dan Dawson, the Alan Tabern Trophy will have its next airing as
Dave Chisnall will face Stephen Bunting in the battle of St Helens to conclude the session.
