Day Two is upon us at the Modus Icons of Darts Live League after the first day which saw Wessel Nijman claim the honours.
Nijman was exceptional at times winning four out of four to win the first Group Stage and he will be back again this morning to attempt to make it two from two.
The players stay the same for the second day barring Mark Webster who is not involved. Instead former World Championship semi finalist Andy Jenkins will take his place.
He will start proceedings off today against Paul Nicholson who himself recorded two wins, two defeats on Monday finishing third behind Nijman and David Evans who also impressed only losing one game all day.
Raymond van Barneveld was the main surprise yesterday. ‘Barney’ of course was seen as a real favourite for the title but didn’t take a single win all day albeit with some bad luck along the way.
He will be back again hoping to bounce back and he starts off his campaign like he did Monday against Wessel Nijman who he lost 5-1 to.
Like Monday, it is the Round Robin format with every player facing off against each other throughout the day, this sees them collect points with a winner crowned every day.
The action begins at 11am BST and every match is the best of nine legs (first to five).

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
