Fallon Sherrock was riding on the crest of a wave after her World Championship heroics including her Premier League debut against Glen Durrant before the Covid-19 pandemic scuppered her plans.
Sherrock spoke at the recent Premier League which she attended and called it a 'real kick in the gut' as she had World Series and exhibition dates taken away.
“It was a real kick in the gut if that makes sense because I had all these things to look forward to and my game was on point but then all of a sudden it all got taken away," said Sherrock.
“At the end of the day, there was nothing you could do. There’s a global pandemic going on, which nobody knew was going to happen. It was disappointing, but the only thing I can do now is to regroup and start again. I might be a year behind but I will catch up and eventually I will get there again.”
Future goals
But while the disappointment is there, it is about looking up for Sherrock with an aim of qualifying for the World Championship if the Women's Series takes place again as well as Q-School.
“My aim is if the Women’s Series happens again, then I will go on that and qualify again. I missed out by two legs last time.
“I’ll go back to Q-School next year because I feel it was a good learning curve for me.
“I want to try and perfect my game a bit better because I feel that it needs a lot of improvement to what it was a couple of years back. But I’m going to take little steps and see how it goes.”
