Shoji Edward surprise winner of PDJ Japan qualifier for World Championship

The PDJ Japan Qualifier for the PDC World Championship yielded a surprise winner this past weekend in the form of Shoji Edward who will make his debut at the PDC World Championship later this year.
Edward beat Akihito Morita in the final 5-4 who missed several match-darts. Seigo Asada who makes a habit of qualifying through this route every year lost to the eventual winner despite leading 3-0.
'The Ninja' has reached the PDC World Championship on three prior occasions losing to Peter Wright 4-2 in the third round last year.
