Smith after stunning comeback win against defending champion Price: "I think Gerwyn let me off a bit but I dug deep"

Gerwyn Price has won the International Darts Open in Riesa for the last two years but his reign has come to an end at the hands of Ross Smith on Saturday night.

Smith who hit a 112 average on Friday against Mario Vandenbogaerde came from 4-0 down to defeat the World Number Two in a stunning victory.

"I'm very happy with the result and performance. I think Gerwyn let me off a bit but I dug deep for the win," said Smith.

"Hopefully I will take my form into tomorrow. I've got to forget about yesterday and today, it's all about tomorrow. It could be a big day for me."
