Michael Smith went down 7-3 against Nathan Aspinall last weekend in the semifinals of the New Zealand Darts Masters.
Smith averaged 107.45 in that match. Still, it was not enough to keep Aspinall, who averaged more than 110, from victory in a high-quality affair.
It is only the fifth time in the history of the World Series of Darts (which began in 2013) that someone has lost a match with an average above 107. Four of those five matches took place in Australia or New Zealand.

📊 Michael Smith's 107.45 losing average against Nathan Aspinall at the New Zealand Darts Masters was the 5th time someone has lost a World Series match with an average over 107. 🇦🇺🇳🇿 4 of those have been in Australia or New Zealand.
