Van den Bergh produced a superb display to dismantle Nathan Aspinall in the first semi-final. 'The Dreammaker' sealed a 6-1 win over 'The Asp' who saw off Michael van Gerwen in the opener averaging 105.7 in the process with five 180's and 55% on the outer ring in the process.
While it was a bit more nervy in the second semi-final between Smith and Jonny Clayton which went all the way to a decider which the World Champion took 6-5 with a 102 average.
Smith led in the early going 2-1 but Clayton was flawless on the outer ring hitting double 20 for 3-2. Smith looked to potentially hold the key with a 122 checkout on the bull but despite going 5-4 ahead from there, a decider was forced.
With Clayton sat on 120, Smith produced with a 76 checkout to move into the final from there. Clayton's first points did not gleam a run to the final.
