Stage official reveals some interesting statistics after marking Smith-Van Gerwen World Darts Championship Final

Scott Gibling has been one of the stage officials/markers on stage during darts matches at the PDC for many years. He also took the honours during the World Darts Championship final match.

The final was between Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwen and was won 7-4 by Smith, who also managed to throw a nine darter after Van Gerwen had missed it one turn earlier.

Afterwards, Gibling posted on his social media some special statistics about the final. For instance, he managed to report that the match was 75 minutes and 53 seconds of playing time.

During the match, 46 were played. Gibling thus calculated that a leg during the final lasted only 98.98 seconds on average.
