It is not Nicholson on top though, it is still David Evans who came so close to three days in a row and with ‘Stretch’ now set to take a day off tomorrow it will be up to Wessel Nijman or latterly Andy Jenkins in second and third to challenge him.
Paul Nicholson could get himself potentially secure in the top three tomorrow after bringing himself up the table as a result of the win but it seems he will run out of days to win it.
Raymond van Barneveld claimed a vital two wins today and he remains in second bottom with eight points with Mark Webster on four going into the final day.
