Van Barneveld edges past Jenkins, Evans seals victory over Webster with 148 checkout

The fifth day of action at the MODUS Icons of Darts Live League is complete with Raymond van Barneveld and David Evans claiming wins to end off proceedings.

Van Barneveld was facing off against Andy Jenkins in a repeat of their 2007 World Semi-Final which of course was the famous tournament that gleamed the potentially best match of all time in the final between RVB and Taylor.

It was the same this time around with a 5-3 win for Barney with a high checkout of 140 along the way as he picked up his second win of the day after having such a poor start to the league earlier this week.

Evans would have been in the winning position like he was against Mark Webster yesterday again today but Paul Nicholson defeated him to claim today’s Group victory. Despite that, he eased past Webster in a 5-2 victory with a spectacular 148 checkout capping off another successful day for ‘Stretch’.
