There are still plenty of chances for Stephen Bunting to make his mark on the 2018 PDC season.

The former BDO world champion is yet to reach a PDC major final. Recent form hasn't been the best, but Bunting is full of belief and can see improvement in his near future. "I've put a lot of hard work in. The last few weeks, I've not really shown it, but I feel like I'm playing better than ever," Bunting told . "Practice is going to tell in the future. As long as I keep it up, I can go up further in the rankings."

Turnaround

Bunting suffered a poor 2017, but 2018 has been much more positive. The St Helens man believes he already has the key to future success.
"I've shown how good I can be in patches, but I think it's all about consistency. I know I'm good enough. I wouldn't keep putting myself through it if I knew I couldn't do it," he said.
It's just about getting up there, enjoying it - which is what I'm doing - and taking the positives out of every defeat, turning it into wins."

'Doing a Ricky'

Bunting can now turn his attention to a packed end of season schedule. It begins with a first round meeting with Darren Webster at the World Grand Prix. However, the Bullet isn't setting definitive targets - though he'd like to emulate a friend's achievement. "I'd like to 'do a Ricky' and get to a European final!" Bunting joked, citing Ricky Evans' . "I'm playing really well at the minute, so I want to keep just playing the way I am. The results will turn around and hopefully I'll win a title."
