Taylor whitewashes under par Adams and claims third consecutive A Night At The Darts win

Adams came into the night unbeaten in two straight nights and despite the Taylor match not going against his record, his run did come to an end at the hands of Scott Mitchell - with 'Scotty Dog' coming from 4-1 down to edge out 'Wolfie' in a 5-4 win after Adams had initially seen off Wessel Nijman to start the night.

Taylor had seen off Mitchell to start the night and added to that with victory over Jason Askew in a match that didn't disappoint. 'The Power' turned it on with a 102.6 average but so did Askew who hit a 101.6 in pushing him to a deciding leg which Taylor claimed 5-4.

He then saw off Adams like alluded to in a whitewash win which saw neither player really play to their best especially the former who only had one dart at double and averaged 77.

Taylor on the other hand averaged 89 and hit 4/11 on his doubles en route. In between that, there was also victory for Wessel Nijman who saw off Boris Koltsov 5-3 with four 180's and a high checkout of 134.

As a result for 'The Power', only Nijman and Koltsov remain tonight in the extended special A Night At The Darts involving the 16x World Champion.

A Night At The Darts is a competition that runs in conjunction with the Icons of Darts League. Each playing week consists of six players. There are five players on each matchday with one player taking a rest.

Each evening like the day consists of four matches for each player with the player with the most wins claiming the group win.
