"Thanks to my sports psychologist, I have never felt so relaxed during important matches" - Dimitri Van den Bergh brimming with confidence

Dimitri Van den Bergh is in the quarter finals of the UK Open. 'The Dreammaker' had a successful day yesterday with successive wins over Vincent van der Voort and Jonny Clayton. He now faces Martin Lukeman in the last eight.

Van den Bergh recently started working with a sports psychologist. "I played against top players like Vincent and Jonny today, yet I was only focused on myself," he told VTM 2.

"I never felt so relaxed in important matches before. I have made so much progress in that and I owe that to my sports psychologist. I am very confident on the stage and know perfectly what I am doing."

Van den Bergh was also given homework by his sports psychologist. "After every match I have to write down the experience I had. I will now rest well to be ready for my quarter final against Martin Lukeman. It has already been a good tournament, which can only get better."
