The new stage at the World Darts Championship is ... green with white lightning bolts

The stage for this year's World Darts Championship has received another nice makeover. Green is the new base colour of the stage, while there are also some white lightning bolts incorporated into the back wall.

The colour of the stage is often related to the World Darts Championship title sponsor. This year that is betting firm Paddy Power, a company that has the colour green as its house colour.
Last year red, black and gray were the colours of the stage, referring to then main sponsor Cazoo. From 2015 to 2022, the stage was coloured blue because of the sponsorship deal with William Hill. Even before that, the stage was coloured mainly red. Indeed, from 2003 to 2014, Ladbrokes took over as sponsor of the World Darts Championship.
