Last week, the
Q-School was completed. At it, players could capture a PDC Tour Card for the next two years.
In addition to a lot of new players, players who lost their Tour Card after the end of last year's event went to Q-School again.
One of those players was Mario Vandenbogaede. The 50-year-old Belgian obtained his Tour Card at the beginning of 2022, but finished the most recent campaign in 67th place in the world rankings at the end of last year, thus losing his Tour Card. Last week, Vandenbogaerde finished ninth in the European Q-School, allowing "Super Mario" to play at least two more years on the Pro Tour.
Besides Vandenbogaede, there were four other players who immediately recaptured their Tour Card. These included Dutch American
Jules van Dongen, who, like Vandenbogaerde, obtained his Tour Card for the first time in 2022.
The three other players who immediately recaptured their Tour Card are
Radek Szaganski,
George Killington and
Steve Lennon.
