This weekend sees conclusion of the 2023 PDC Women's Series: Who grabs the final women's spot for the World Darts Championship?

The Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan is this weekend the battleground of the final four tournaments of the PDC Women's Series 2023. After this weekend, we will know which two ladies will be in action at the World Darts Championships.

This was originally going to be three women. After all, Beau Greaves won the Women's World Matchplay and two more ladies would be added via the Women's Series Order of Merit. However, Greaves has chosen not to participate in the World Darts Championship, but rather in the women's tournament at Lakeside. The vacant spot will not go to another lady, but will be made available during the qualifying tournament for Tour Card holders at the end of November. However, Greaves will compete in the Grand Slam of Darts as the winner of the Women's World Matchplay.

Thus, two women are going to be in action at Alexandra Palace. There is a very good chance that Mikuru Suzuki will be among these two women. The Japanese player has a lead of 2200 pounds over Fallon Sherrock and 4350 pounds over Lisa Ashton.

The winner of each Women's Series tournament will receive 2,000 pounds in prize money, and Suzuki will undoubtedly scoop some prize money herself. The excitement is mainly in the battle for the second ticket to the World Darts Championship. That one goes between Sherrock and Ashton. Sherrock currently has the best papers, as she enters the final weekend with a 2150-pound lead over Ashton.

A spot for the Grand Slam of Darts can also still be earned via the Women's Series Order of Merit. Suzuki is in pole position for this. Sherrock is her biggest challenger. The "Queen of the Palace" will have to make up at least 2,200 pounds on the two-time women's world champion.
