THROWBACK VIDEO: Adams defeats Chisnall to win 2010 BDO World Darts Championship

With the BDO World Darts Championship not taking place this month due to the organisation’s demise, DartsNews looks back at classic moments and matches throughout January from the showpiece event.
Onto 2010 we go and for Martin Adams, it was a second World title after his triumph in 2007 after defeating Dave Chisnall in a 7-5 victory in the final.
Of course Chisnall would head to the PDC from there and most recently produced sublime brilliance to dump out Michael van Gerwen at the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
