Highest averages on first day PDC Autumn Series: Wright and Petersen lead standings

The increasingly insane standard of the Players Championship (ProTour) has been shown over the past few seasons and was on display during the first day of the PDC Autumn Series as the averages show.

Compiled by PremiumDartData, Peter Wright finished on top in not only the first day winning the title but also the averages.

An effort of 108.95 which was hit during victory over Michael van Gerwen was his best of the day and was hit where it mattered. His other averages ranged between 95-99 over the course of the day.

Devon Petersen hit a 113 average during the PDC Summer Series and still lost to Gerwyn Price but this time around he defeated him hitting a 107.64 in reaching the semi-finals to come second.

Jose de Sousa has been one of the standout players on the PDC Tour for some time and his averages as usual were among the best with 104.81 and 102.79 putting him third and fourth.

Scott Waites rounded out the top five with 102.56. Gerwyn Price's best came further down the list with 102.11 while Michael van Gerwen hit 101.63 and 101.40 putting him 11th and 12th respectively.
