Dimitri van den Bergh impressed on his
Premier League Darts debut in one of four draws on the opening night in Milton Keynes with Michael van Gerwen having to produce a 101 to draw with 'The Dreammaker'.
Speaking afterwards, Van den Bergh wasn't of the mindset that it was points that got away with his view being that any points he accrues are good.
"Anything I'm winning today against the five time Premier League champion against a man who is so experienced and thinking about what has been happening in my own private life so anything that I win was a bonus," said Van den Bergh post match.
"Obviously he needed to take that 101 out because I was feeling that 64 was going. I've been practicing the 64 with Damon (Heta) back home like last five days and I was feeling comfortable on that finish."
"I had chances and I pushed myself. I'm a battler, I'm a fighter I don't give up and the chances that I got I took them at the end of the day that's what got me to the one point. "
"Every game that I play in this Premier League, I'm gonna give 100% so anyone who beats me has to play well. That's how I'm feeling and I'm only going to grow."
