Wright not pleased with opening Premier League display despite draw against Clayton: "It was very rusty"

Peter Wright has claimed his first points of the Premier League in an epic clash on the opening night in Milton Keynes.

Wright was flawless on the doubles as he shared the points with 'The Ferret' but despite that wasn't 100% pleased with his display.

"It was very rusty," said Wright. "Obviously, Jonny let me off there missing the bull for that 161. To get a draw against one of the guys that has the best form in darts in Jonny is quite good. It's all the other guys that have to try and beat him now."

"I had some bad deflections up there. That was just down to being a bit nervous for the first time up there for a long time."

"A lot more. 101 (average) is just rubbish really. Tomorrow will be better."
