Aspinall confident after opening Premier League win over Durrant: "I'm going to do some damage this year"

Nathan Aspinall was the only winner on the opening night of the Premier League Darts with the rest of the ties ending in draws.

As a result, he is currently top of the table and albeit at an early stage, 'The Asp' was happy with his efforts and believes that this Premier League can really start his season off.

"I'm very happy. It was a big game, obviously important to get two points on first game. It's a very important five days for all ten of us. I was happy with my performance and thought I played well," said Aspinall post match.

"All my pre-interviews were about me being eliminated and I wanted to go up there and put a good performance in and it wasn't my A game but it was a solid performance to start my Premier League campaign."

"I've not had the best of 12 months but by the same respect, I've not been playing absolutely rubbish. I keep getting all this stick that I'm playing bad and that it's guaranteed I'm getting eliminated from the Premier League."

"I'm playing well, I'm confident. All I can do is keep going there and doing my best. This Premier League is going to turn my season around. I'm going to do some damage this year."
