Van Dongen has no fear of Rock: "On the contrary, against the big names I usually reach my best level"

Jules van Dongen made an excellent start to the German Darts Open. The Dutch American defeated Connor Scutt 6-3 in the opening round.

Van Dongen is currently ranked 90th in the world, with only the top 64 retaining their Tour Card at the end of this year. "A good performance at this tournament is therefore very important for the ranking," Van Dongen told 433 Darts. "It will be a tough battle, but I still believe in it."

In the second round, Van Dongen will take on Northern Irish sensation Josh Rock. "But I have no fear of him, on the contrary, against the big names I usually reach my best level."
