Van Duijvenbode frustrated with sections of crowd after Clayton defeat: "I'm 100% sure that I wouldn't have lost"

In the quarter-finals of the European Championship, Dirk van Duijvenbode lost out to Jonny Clayton in a 10-4 defeat. In particular, he was disappointed due to two fans in particular who shouted when he was throwing.

"There were always two people who shouted when I had to throw. I never think in problems but in solutions, so I put in my earplugs. Unfortunately the sound still came through. In a room with 10,000 fans, you won't be bothered by that, but in a quiet room with 250 people you will," said van Duijvenbode to RTL 7.

"I don't really want to look for excuses at all, it's my fault that I couldn't deal with it. I'm 100% sure that I wouldn't have lost without those two fans and that makes me very disappointed."
