Michael van Gerwen could achieve a
World Series of Darts milestone at the
US Darts Masters if he gets through his opener tonight against Jules van Dongen and goes on to reach the latter stages at Madison Square Garden.
Van Gerwen has been an ever present on the World Series and currently sits on 98 victories but could reach 100 and tick off a milestone in that regard.
Peter Wright is the next player in the current crop with 62 wins, followed by Gary Anderson on 51, James Wade on 46 and then a long way back to Gerwyn Price on 19 and Michael Smith on 18.
Jonny Clayton has only limited World Series experience winning the Finals last year and he sits on eight wins, while Fallon Sherrock sits on two with byes meaning she reached the final of the Nordic Darts Masters without winning more than two games.
