Van Gerwen eases past Suljovic to claim PDC Autumn Series Day Three title

Michael van Gerwen has claimed victory on PDC Autumn Series Day Three after easing past Mensur Suljovic 8-1.

Van Gerwen has had a lot of questions as of late about his form and this was shown with the World Number One bowing out of the Premier League play-offs.

Since then he has changed his darts back to his old ones due to a clause in his Winmau contract and has been impressive since then albeit with defeats to Peter Wright and Damon Heta over the past few days which has stopped his momentum.

En route to victory over Suljovic though, he saw off Andy Hamilton (6-4), Reece Robinson (6-2) and began to motor with victory over Dirk van Duijvenbode (6-0), Glen Durrant (6-2) and Damon Heta (6-0).

Following that he defeated Nick Kenny 7-4 to reach the final where he eased past Suljovic to secure his latest Players Championship triumph.
