Gerwyn Price won the eighteenth
Players Championship of the year on Sunday by defeating Dutchman Gian van Veen 8-1 in the final.
In the quarterfinals, Price handled
Rob Cross 6-0. At a 2-0 lead for Price, however, something remarkable happened. Cross was at 213 and threw his first two darts into the triple 20. He then went for triple 17 to put himself on a 36-finish.
You won't often see what happens next on the
Pro Tour. Indeed, Cross' third dart slips out of his hand and misses the board. Both Price and Cross can't suppress a laugh.
