VIDEO: PDC Chairman, Eddie Hearn sees confidence turn into defeat as he loses to MMA journalist Ariel Helwani at darts

With his role as PDC Chairman, Eddie Hearn went into a game of darts with MMA Journalist, Ariel Helwani full of confidence but as Wayne Mardle he was left speechless like the 'I can't spake' video.

In the US to promote Amanda Serrano's fight with Erika Cruz on Saturday night, Hearn as well as boxers such as Skye Nicolson appeared on the MMA Hour and also played Helwani at darts with the latter being taken in by the brilliant Michael Smith nine-dart finish.

“It’s a sporting upset that will be talked about for centuries. One of the biggest shockers of all time. Helwani – 38. Eddie Hearn – 23. Wow. I can’t spake," he captioned the video.

This after a back and forth between the pair in which Helwani wanted to go to the World Championship for HBO. “What about the darts over the last few days?,” Helwani said on Twitter.

“Have you watched that clip of the nine-darter? The announcer was like ‘I cannot speak, I can’t speak. Also, that Ally Pally crowd that I’ve learned so much about… I’ll tell you guys right now, I’m heavily campaigning for HBO to send me to that so I can do a real sports story on that culture.”

“Ariel – I don’t want to give you too much clout but you are about to be a catalyst for the explosion of darts in the US @OfficialPDC," responded Hearn.
