Berry van Peer catapults into provisional spot for 2023 WDF Lakeside World Championship after winning Dutch Open Darts

Berry van Peer triumphed at the Dutch Open last weekend. The 26-year-old Dutchman also still has the prospect of participating in the WDF Lakeside World Championship later this year.

That will take place in early December. The entry list for that tournament was closed at the end of last year, but because three players (Robert Owen, Richard Veenstra and Nick Kenny) have since obtained a PDC Tour Card, they are no longer allowed to participate.

Reserve list

Therefore, the WDF has decided to create a reserve list. Players can collect points throughout the year and the list will be closed on 30 October, the top three qualify for Lakeside. Van Peer is currently second on that list, behind Aaron Turner.

Van Peer has never before played at a World Darts Championship.
