Waites after dominant win over Horvat: "What a place to be, these are the crowds you want to play in front of"

Scott Waites began his campaign at the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich with a dominant 6-1 win over Dragutin Horvat.

Waites lauded praise on the crowd post match and said it's the kind of fans you want to play in front of.

"It's fantastic. I mean look at the crowd today, it's brilliant. What a place to be. You don't get these sorts of crowds every day of the week. These are the crowds you want to play in front of," said Waites.

"Tomorrow I've got an unknown player called Peter Wright," he joked. "I'm going to turn up and give him a right game. He can be popular if he wants to, I don't mind that."
