White on best moment of career so far: "Getting to the Quarter-Finals of the World Championship is a good one"

As part of Unicorn's For Every Player Series, Ian White was the next to sit down and look over his career including how he started.

"I used to go to the pub on a Sunday afternoon with one of my friends and he was playing in a local league. But I never because I was more into my motorbikes, I had all the studded belts, Guns N Roses and I wasn't interested in darts. I used to just keep beating them and they said sign up and I just signed up and worked my way up," said White to Unicorn Darts.

In terms of role models, White admits he doesn't have any but that he would try and better the darting stars at the time.

"I don't have role models. When I was playing darts and practicing, I'd be watching the World Championship and Phil Taylor and Dennis Priestley were playing. Whatever Phil was going up and hitting, I'd try and hit it. I just started enjoying it and I'm still enjoying it now."

In terms of his best career achievement, it is a different one than expected.

"Winning the ProTour tournaments, European one had a month where I won two European Tours, I beat Michael van Gerwen in Holland and Peter Wright in Germany. But I think getting to the Quarter-Finals of the World Championship is a good one, you have loads of ups and downs. When you don't win or you're going through a bad patch you know and we all do it."
