Whitlock confident after brilliant Labanauskas win: "There's no one better than me right now no way"

Simon Whitlock is through to the third round at the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship after seeing off Darius Labanauskas in a brilliant win which saw him come from a set down as well as surviving a stunning 164 checkout in the latter stages.

Whitlock admitted afterwards that he has the belief and believes he is one of the best right now.

"That was a proper game. 1-0 down didn't panic, I watched Gerwyn last night, I know he started ordinary but I didn't start ordinary but I just watched him and thought don't panic," said Whitlock post match.

"It's all experience from playing online darts, I don't watch my opponents anymore. I got brand new darts, I've only practiced with them twice. They are the same darts just new colours, I want to thank Winmau, they are amazing."

"I'm working hard, I'm believing again. When I'm comfortable with my darts and my equipment, that's when I play my best and it's been a long time since I've been comfortable with what I'm using."

"I believe I can play as good as anyone. I've taken out Michael three times in a row on TV and that says something. I can only go off what I'm doing and I feel amazing."

"There's no one better than me right now no way."
