Wright looks ahead to tie with World Cup partner Anderson: "It should be a great game if we both play like we can"

Peter Wright endured the perfect start to life as World Champion winning The Masters but his Premier League campaign didn't start as well.

Wright suffered defeat to Michael van Gerwen but tonight takes on his fellow World Cup winning partner Gary Anderson and it's a game he is looking forward to with fireworks promised if they both hit top form.

"Obviously, losing to Michael was a disappointment but I don't think I played too badly," said Wright.

"That game is gone now, so as soon as it was finished I was looking ahead to playing Gary.

"Gary is a player I have huge respect for, I loved winning the World Cup with him last year so it should be a great game if we both play like we can."
