Despite a brilliant run to the final, the 2023 World Cup of Darts ended in heartbreak for Peter Wright, Gary Anderson and Scotland, being comfortably defeated 10-2.
"The Welsh were the favourites for the tournament and they played fantastic in the final," recaps Wright, who was playing his fifth World Cup of Darts final. "It's been a really good tournament with Pairs all the way through."
Four of those finals have been alongside Gary Anderson, and for Wright the reuniting of the pair at this year's event was a key part of why they were so successful, including a thrilling semi-final win over the home crowd favourites, Germany.
"It's amazing playing with Gary," Snakebite adds. "Maybe old age caught up with us."
