"As long as she wants to play darts, I'll play with her": Greaves on special bond with Hedman after Dutch Open Darts pairs win

Beau Greaves and Deta Hedman have won the pairs tournament at the Dutch Open. In the final, they defeated Dutch pair Aletta Wajer and Anca Zijlstra.

"I think it's one of the best comps of the year, we lost the semi-final last year so to come back and win is brilliant," said Greaves to Darts Actueel.

"About seven years ago I had a picture of Deta Hedman and now I'm playing pairs with her so I'm very gracious to play with her and I said to her yesterday, you never lose it and as long as she wants to play darts, I'll play with her. She's absolutely class."

Hedman also spoke of her love for the Dutch Open as well as her friendship with Greaves. "It's one of the biggest tournaments outside the World Championship in the world on the amateur side. It's been going for so long and I enjoy being here and when you play tournaments and to be in the final especially with someone as awesome as Beau.

"I love her to bits and I always say while she still wants to play pairs with me and I am getting old now. Everyone forgets how old I am, she said to me yesterday you never lose it but getting out of bed in the morning. It's a fantastic ran tournament."
