The two Englishmen won 4-0 over Connor Phillips and Ieuan Halsall at the last 16, but then came away well against Riley Rees-Tucker/Evan Wishart (4-3) and Rajmund Papp/Balazs Szotak (4-3). Then in the final, Banks and Self were too strong 5-2 against Alexander Steinmetz and Yorick Hofkens of Germany.
The girls' pairs tournament was surprisingly won by a Turkish duo. Zehra Gemi and Belinay Pelivan won 4-2 over Paige Pauling and Hannah Meek in the final, preventing another title for England.
