Ben Hazel, Laszlo Kadar and Marjolein Noijens have moved through the opening round at the 2022 WDF
Lakeside World Championship to finalise the opening session in Frimley Green.
Hazel sealed a scrappy opening set after a handful of missed set darts from Puha before the New Zealander fought back to level up.
But 'Mr Ben' produced a clean sweep to move through from there hitting 180 and a 52 checkout followed by a scrappy 37 checkout before pinning double 10.
While from potentially the brink of defeat, Kadar held his nerve on double 20 after six missed match darts from Andreas Harrysson.
It was one way traffic to begin the tie with Harrysson hitting a 121 checkout en route before Kadar hit back with a 104, 135 and 96 checkout to seal three legs on the spin.
But the final set was a lot closer with Kadar coming back after Harrysson went 2-0 up and was on the brink again before Kadar hit double 20 after the Swede missed match darts in the decider.
Before Marojlein Noijens came through a hard fought contest against Amanda Harwood and will now face Maria O'Brien sealing it 2-1 after Harwood came back into the tie.
