Liam Maendl-Lawrance won the title at the WDF Swiss Open on Saturday in the Swiss town of Kloten. Making it his second title on the circuit after earlier this year he also won the Slovak Open.
The German breezed through without much trouble. He easily reached the last eight after victories over Roland Meier (4-0), Jonathan Hayllor (4-0), Andreas Kumpan (4-2) and Felix Schiertz (4-2).
In the last eight he found Marcel Walpen on his way, but the Swiss was defeated 4-1. Subsequently, Maendl-Lawrance also managed to deal with Michael Unterbuchner (4-2) and Aaron Turner (5-1). With this overall victory, Maendl-Lawrance has moved up to 35th position in the WDF ranking.
