The WDF World Championship at Lakeside continues Sunday with the second day of play. Once again, 12 duels from the first round are scheduled, including eight from the men's tournament and four from the women's tournament.
It is a Dutch heavy day with four taking to the iconic stage in Frimley Green on Sunday. Moreno Blom is the first of this foursome. He will make his Lakeside debut during the afternoon session against Gábor Takács. Then Priscilla Steenbergen will battle Kim Mitchell, before Jarno Bottenberg faces Jamie Lewis. Another appearance on stage on Sunday afternoon is Liam Maendl-Lawrance. He will meet Mike Gillet in the opening match.
Title favorite Leonard Gates also starts his tournament on Sunday night. He will play Brian Corbett in the first round. Former Tour Card holder David Pallett will make his appearance against Swiss Thomas Junghans. At the end of the evening session, Dennie Olde Kalter is in action. He faces off with Antony Allen.
This year's tournament is mainly shown online with streams through the channels of the WDF, Winmau and Tungsten Tales the live streams will be made available as well as Ayozat TV on Sky and their website.
The total prize pool for the WDF Lakeside World Championship includes £257,000 in prize money. That is a lot less than in 2022, when £300,000 was paid out.
