Sherrock wins ladies event WDF Virtual Cup

Fallon Sherrock has won the ladies tournament of the WDF Virtual Cup on Sunday. During this tournament, players from different countries competed against each other via internet connection.

Sherrock defeated Ksenia Klochek from Russia in the final with 6-1. The 26-year-old from Milton Keynes won the first three legs, before her Russian opponent managed to get on the scoreboard with a 45 check-out. Then three more legs in a row went to Sherrock for the win.

Some other well-known players participated in this tournament. Mikuru Suzuki defeated Lorraine Winstanley in the last sixteen, but the women's world champion then went down against Irina Armstrong. Aileen de Graaf lost in the quarter-finals to runner-up Klochek.
