Tricole not pleased with display despite reaching Lakeside semi-finals: "I have to be better"

Thibault Tricole punished a doubling disaster of sorts from Andy Baetens to reach the 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship semi-finals.

Tricole though was under no illusion that he got lucky though at the right times but believes throughout anyway that he is only an outsider to win so sees it as a bonus.

"I didn't play well, I don't know why but I think during a good part of the match, I was watching him so every time I was behind him to try and come back and I enjoy his mistake to come back. But I'm not proud of myself," said Tricole to Tungsten Tales.

"I never find my level, the first dart is very important. If you find one treble, you can throw more relaxed after that. I never gave up. I have to play better but I'm an outsider so why not. Maybe the pressure is more on my opponent."
