Two WDF tournaments in Germany make entry on 2025 calendar

The WDF has announced that two ranking tournaments will be held in Germany in 2025. The Ruhr Open and Bochum Open are scheduled from March 28 to March 31, 2025.

For years, the BULL'S German Open was played annually, a tournament won by the likes of Ted Hankey, Martin Adams, Gary Anderson, Darryl Fitton and Danny Noppert.

Until 2019, the German Open was an annual tournament, but due to the corona pandemic, it was cancelled twice thereafter. In 2023, the event returned briefly, but did not count for the WDF rankings.

The Ruhr Open and Bochum Open do count towards the WDF rankings. The Ruhr Open has been awarded silver status, while the Bochum Open has even been valued with gold status. That means the winners of the men's and women's tournaments qualify for the WDF World Championship in 2025.
