Van der Voort, Cullen, Beaton and Ward qualify for World Series of Darts Finals in Salzburg

The qualifiers have been completed for the World Series of Darts Finals in Salzburg marking the first day of six in the PDC Autumn Series with Joe Cullen, Steve Beaton, Harry Ward and Vincent van der Voort taking their places in the line-up.

The World Series of Darts Finals 2020 are scheduled in Salzburg from September 18-20. Top players such as Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price, Glen Durrant and Nathan Aspinall have already been qualified for this event. Dimitri van den Bergh and Fallon Sherrock will also make their appearance on the big stage.

In terms of their qualification routes, Beaton began the day with victory over Dirk van Duijvenbode (5-2) and followed that up by seeing off Andy Hamilton (5-1), Steve Lennon (5-2) and finally Gabriel Clemens (5-3).

While Cullen started with a 101 average in seeing off Ryan Meikle (5-1) and qualified after wins over Barrie Bates (5-2), Callan Rydz (5-2) and Jesus Noguera (5-3).

Ward in a way can find himself lucky to qualify. 'Big H' defeated Chris Dobey in their final match 5-3 with a 75.1 average with the latter hitting 76.3 after a great qualifier up to that point.

Before that though wins over Jan Dekker (5-2), William O'Connor (5-3), Christian Bunse (5-3) and Joe Murnan (5-3) booked his place in that final game.

Last of all, 'The Dutch Destroyer' himself will play in Austria after wins over Josh Payne (5-3), Marko Kantele (5-4), Scott Waites (5-2) and Madars Razma (5-3) finally.
