Deta Hedman is heading into the World Seniors Darts Championship as the most successful player in the field and 'The Heart of Darts' was pleased to see some old friends ahead of the action beginning.
"I haven't dwelled on it too much but yeah it's really exciting to be here. Seeing all of the guys and girls who I haven't seen in a long time, I see Trina and Lisa because we still do the rounds but people like John Lowe, Bob Anderson and Paul Lim - I haven't seen them for a long time and we go back a long way, that's why we're called the Seniors," said Hedman to Live Darts.
As usual for Hedman, she has juggled her commitments with Royal Mail with playing darts so admits her preparation has took a hit but when she has been playing, it has gone well.
"My form has been good but preparation wise, I'm probably the least prepared because I work nights and I've just been doing what I've done the whole time playing through the Ladies, in my lunch break, I put some practice in."
Potential Manley mind games
Facing Peter Manley first up, she hasn't thought about potential mind games and said he can do what he wants.
"I don't really care - he can do his mind games. He can do his tactics whatever he wants to do, it won't matter to me at all. As long as I don't trip him up on the oche. I don't do that myself so I will just go with it."
A tie with Phil Taylor awaits and she revealed she does hold a win over 'The Power' albeit in an exhibition.
"I've only ever played Phil once in an exhibition and I did beat him. I've never played Peter, we've done an exhibition together but never played each other so I'm looking forward to it."
