Kevin Painter has easily qualified for the quarter finals of the World Seniors Matchplay. The Artist defeated John Lowe 8-0.
"The early legs dictated the game, John had darts to win the second leg messed it up a bit. I had a 140 out and the game got away from John. My game didn't improve as such but it's all about getting the job done at the end of the day,"
"When you're my age, it's hard to concentrate all the time. If I was at the top level of the game, I'd still be on the ProTour and the reason I'm not is concentration levels. That was the main factor. One minute you're doing a 12 darter and the next minute you're on 250 after 12 darts, that's all concentration. That's all it is."
Painter will meet the winner of the Peter Evison/Colin McGarry match in the quarter-finals. "I will play better than that obviously in the next game. I expect to anyway. I expect to do a bit more damage and play better. This Seniors thing is fantastic, it's great for us players that are not on ProTour. It's nice for us all to get a game and get on stage."
