Part sets up World Seniors Darts Masters showdown with Taylor after whitewash win over Lim

Tungsten Time has begun at the Lakeside with the World Seniors Darts Masters seeing its first winner on the historic Frimley Green stage with a showdown between John Part and Phil Taylor set for the final game of the evening.

Part completed a 4-0 sets whitewash over Paul Lim despite the sets format as ever not telling the full story with missed darts at double hampering 'The Singapore Slinger' despite holding a point better off in the averages.

But 'Darth Maple' finished with a flourish as he produced a 164 checkout to seal the deal over the only player to hit a nine-dart finish in the World Championship on the historic stage.

Part pounced on those missed darts at double early on sealing four consecutive legs including the first 180 of the match as he produced a 13 darter to seal the second set. Lim took the first leg of the third set but again missed double proved costly and Part went one away.

Both exchanged 14 darters including a 100 checkout from Lim but the brilliant 164 checkout saw Part take it.
