It's time to head back to the Lakeside and it is the return of 'Tungsten Time' as the
World Seniors Darts Masters kicks off on Friday evening on the stage where legends played and darting history was made with some fine examples on show in Frimley Green this weekend.
It is all a follow up to the the successful first edition of the World Seniors Darts Championship which was won by Robert Thornton in February. 'The Thorn' will be in action on Saturday.
But it all begins with darting icons colliding as
Paul Lim will face three-time World Champion,
John Part. The winner of this tie is set to face 16-time World Champion,
Phil Taylor later this evening in the final match.
Between them,
Kevin Painter - finalist in the World Seniors will face David Cameron who was on the iconic stage just last month in the WDF edition before hightailing it to the qualifier while over in the UK and he got his reward as he will face 'The Artist'. While 'The Tripod'
Roland Scholten will face a player many are outside backing for the title in Wayne Jones.
In terms of the format, the preliminary round, Last 16 and Quarter-Finals will be best of three legs and best of seven sets.
